Sports Story

On Monday December 16, 2013 @ 7 pm the Roosevelt Roughriders took on the Indianola Indians at Roosevelt highschool. who do you believe will win the game? " i dont know, well just have to see", says Roosevelt assistant coach Daley.

The Riders were winning by three points in the first quarter with 1 min and 50 secs left, the Indianola shooting gaurd # 34 hit a three to tie the game up.

how do you think the refs affected the game? "they were calling real weak fouls and late fouls", said Roosevelts Emmanuel Mabior.

Third quarter was a little intense because the players were playing a little dirty because they knew that the refs were a liite off with their whistle and knew that they would call the foul or hopefully not call it at all, the Indians were winning at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Then the 4th qaurter came around, this is when everyone gets excited and cheers really loud. 2 mins to go Roosevelt down 7, to behonest i thought the Riders were no longer in the game because Indianola was hot!

At any point did you believe that you guys were going to lose? "No, but i wouldve been pissed of if we would have lost to Indianola.

The most exciting thing ever.

The most exciting thing that ever happen to me was when i was selected as the mvp of the basketball camp i went to. I was 13 yrs old when i went to this camp and it was in Little Rock, Arkansas.

This was my first year ever playing organized basketball in other words on a team. I wanted to go to this camp because my coach recomended it and he told me that it will make you improve.

The drive from Iowa to Arkansas took about 10 hours and it was a pretty boring road trip. when we got to our hotel the first thing i did before unpacking was hop on the bed and go to sleep because i had a busy day ahead of me.

When i got to the Gym the next mourning, i saw a lot of younger and older kids. I was a little nervous at first because it was my first year really playing basketball and didnt understand it quite well.

We started by getting our jersey size and our shoe size. Then we did drills for the first 4 hours then had lunch.

The lunch we had was not very tasty. they served us pasta with really hard bread and a cup of cold coolaid, but it didnt even fill me up.

Camp was for 12 hours from 8am to 8 pm. after about the 5th hour i was exahusted and ready to go back home.

At the end of the camp everyone met at the center court and the owner of the camp announced the mvps for each grade level. i was selceted as the mvp for my age group and i was the most excitied ive ever been.

I am Buay Chuol. I am 15 years old and i'm in 10th grade. I was born July 31, 1998 in Minnesota.

I love to play basketball and I also like to run somewhat. I have 1 brother and 2 sisters and live with them and my mom. My dad lives in Marshalltown and I don't get to see him often.

My favorite food is Spaghetti. My favorite team in the NBA is the Miami Heat. Lebron james is my role model he is funny and takes basketball very serious.

I sometimes like to play video games. I like to play NBA 2k13. Or I play Black Ops 2.

I believe in God, But I don't go to church very much like I use to when I was younger. When I get bored I like to play basketball or when I have free time.

I love to listen to music. I listen to rap and I cant go a day without listening to music or I get kinda cranky.

I watch a lot of movies. I really like to watch movies, I like horror and comedy movies. I hate to read and I don't really read outside of school.

I use to live in Minnesota when I was younger and I think I kinda liked it better but we never really visited so I got use to boring Iowa. My favorite season is summer but I hate the bugs and im the only one in my family who has a birthday in the summer.
